Scott Radecic is a senior principal at Populous (formerly HOK Sport Venue Event) in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in architectural engineering. A Nittany Lion linebacker and four-year letterman, Radecic was both an All-American and an Academic All-American; a member of the 1982 National Championship team and a team leader in tackles that year; a Co-Captain of the team in 1983 and a recipient that year of the Ridge Riley Award for scholarship, leadership and academic success.

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Radecic in the second round in 1984 — the 34th pick overall — and he spent his first three seasons with the Chiefs. He finished his last two semesters of a five-year major at Penn State during his first two off-seasons, completing his degree with a 3.2 cumulative GPA in 1986.

Radecic played with the Buffalo Bills from 1987 - 1989 and was named one of the NFL's most underrated players by Sports Illustrated in 1989. He finished his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, playing with the team from 1990 - 1996. In the off-seasons from 1992 - 1996, Radecic worked part time for Populous, bringing a unique tenant/user perspective to sports facility design.

Upon his retirement from the NFL, Radecic was offered a job as an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens; instead, with a definite career path ahead of him, he chose to follow his childhood dream and put his architectural engineering degree to practice by joining Populous full time in April 1997. Radecic played in one generation of football facilities, and now he is building the next one.

In 1998, he was given the reigns as the leader of the firm's collegiate group. Radecic now is a senior principal with the firm and is a member of the firm’s executive group, where he specializes in servicing University and NFL clients. His career on the field also helped him create an immense and unique network of contacts. Among Radecic's friends and clients are NFL coaches, management and administration; NFL players and player program representatives; collegiate athletic directors; NCAA officials; agents; and sports commissions.

Radecic is a recognized leader in the collegiate sports facility design industry. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of collegiate sports facility design, having most recently spoken at the 2008 Stadium Managers Association Conference on the topic of sustainable design. Additionally in 2001, Radecic was chosen as a Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal 40 Under 40 award winner, one of the industry's most esteemed group of sports business professionals.
